Look to this day for it is life, the very life of life, in its brief course lie all the verities and realities of our existence. The bliss of growth, the splendor of beauty, for yesterday is but a dream and tomorrow only a vision, but today well spent makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well therefore to this day. —Kalidasa (Indian Sanskrit Playwright/Poet/Philosopher 4-5th century A.D.)
Food and nature are nourishing for body, mind, and spirit. Food can provide nutrition for optimal health. Nature can provide fresh air, sunlight, and forest bathing. Both require recognition and effort to create open access. Both can alleviate stress and insecurity. Both contribute to joyful living. Both are greatly impacted as the planet warms.
Michael believes that the creative process requires getting your head “in the clouds,” not out! Similar to his music improvisations, his nature photography captures the essence of “being in the moment.” No musical performance or picture is ever the same twice. His photographs are never intentional, but capture the power, beauty, & magical wonder that exists every single moment all around us.
